Challenge 1: Resolving the 50% Invisible Problem

The costume we were commissioned to create features the characters "葛城栄主" (Katsuragi Eishu) on the back of the coat, and a "dragon" illustration on the inside of the coat. Since these characters and illustration are not commercially available, we created print data on a computer and prepared the materials by having them printed at a fabric printing factory.
In the photo provided at the time of the order, the "dragon" illustration was hidden by the feet and clothing, with only about 50% of the entire "dragon" visible. The hidden, invisible parts were conceptualized and drawn in by a designer to create flat data. The more complex the pattern or design, and the more invisible parts there are, the higher the difficulty of creating the data.
It takes about 1-2 weeks for the fabric to be produced after sending the print data to the fabric printing factory, so this step is performed first. ☟
Once the fabric printing arrangements are complete, we begin making the pants. First, we create the shape with temporary fabric. ☟
