The greatest feature of this work is the complete reproduction of the pattern from the customer's illustration, utilizing the latest digital technology. Instead of merely "finding a similar fabric pattern," we copied the pattern from the illustration, digitized it, and then printed it onto the fabric, successfully bringing the "illustration itself" to life in three dimensions.

While the shirt may appear simple, it is actually a culmination of advanced technology. To faithfully reproduce the unique pattern depicted in the illustration, we first extracted the pattern from the original artwork and scaled it to doll size. During fabric printing, we also meticulously adjusted the color tones, taking great care not to compromise the illustration's original feel. The short-sleeve cutting and collar shape were also precisely crafted based on the illustration.

DD dolls, with their height of approximately 58cm, have unique proportions different from regular dolls. In this work, artisans thoroughly familiar with DD body types precisely measured all dimensions, including shoulder width, bust, waist, and length, to create the patterns. To balance ease of dressing with aesthetic beauty, fasteners such as snap buttons and velcro are incorporated on the back.

When digitizing data, simply scanning does not accurately reproduce the original illustration's colors. In this work, considering the color difference between the monitor and the actual print, multiple test prints were conducted, and optimal color adjustments were made. Careful color management is performed down to the smallest detail to ensure the warmth and atmosphere of the illustration are preserved.

Creating doll-sized costumes requires specialized techniques different from regular sewing. Even a slight misalignment of a few millimeters can disrupt the entire silhouette, making every stitch crucial. In this work, experienced artisans skillfully combine hand-sewing and machine-sewing as appropriate, achieving the highest quality finish. The lining and seam allowances are also beautifully processed, with meticulous attention paid to parts that are not visible from the outside.
