Hello, I'm Momiji, the designer of My Style Dolls.
I am a doll costume designer and also enjoy playing with BJD dolls.
I started with BJD dolls in early 2016 and was completely captivated by their flawless beauty.
At first, I just played with the dolls following the story created by the manufacturer.
But gradually I discovered the joy of displaying my own dolls.
The costumes, hair, makeup, everything is my own personal touch.
It's your very own doll, your ideal friend, isn't that great?
I also love taking pictures of dolls!
Although I do shoot in a studio, I love shooting outdoors, with beautiful scenery and natural light.
And sometimes I get to join in on that beautiful frame.
Of course, the first time was quite awkward and I just posted a photo of the doll on social networks without showing my face.
Like most people, I'm a little scared of people looking at me when I take pictures of my dolls.
And most importantly, I have little confidence in my own beauty compared to the beautiful dolls. (laughs)
But believe it or not, my love for doll beauty has changed me greatly.
I was going to take pictures with my doll, so I was even more diligent in taking care of myself.
The dolls always have perfect makeup on, so I learned how to take care of my skin and how to apply makeup.
The dolls' outfits are always stylish, so I buy similar outfits for myself and lots of other things.
I slowly became less embarrassed to take selfies with my dolls.
After all, isn't it great to preserve your own moments with the things you love?
Recently, I shot a photo book called "Me and My Doll" in traditional Japanese clothing at a Japanese shrine.
Every time I look back at the photos from that day, I feel so happy.
My dolls are so amazing.
What surprised me even more was that many people looked at me that day and said, "You and your doll are both so beautiful." (laughs)
There are countless "me and dolls" in this hobby,
No matter how we play with our dolls, I believe they always create joy that makes every day better.
If you would like to take a photo with your doll, please feel free to do so.
